We have received a request from Tim Ellam VE6SH, Pres­i­dent of the Inter­na­tion­al Ama­teur Radio Union (IARU), to pre­pare a blog con­tri­bu­tion for ITU News.

We are invit­ed to pro­vide exam­ples from Region 3 that demon­strate how inno­va­tion is advanc­ing Ama­teur Radio’s role in serv­ing com­mu­ni­ties, includ­ing in emer­gency com­mu­ni­ca­tions, tech­no­log­i­cal devel­op­ment, edu­ca­tion, or oth­er mean­ing­ful social contributions.

May we kind­ly ask each Mem­ber Soci­ety to urgent­ly submit:

- A short sum­ma­ry (1–2 para­graphs) describ­ing the inno­va­tion
- Coun­try and mem­ber soci­ety name
- Sup­port­ing pho­tos (with cap­tion and credit)

As the ITU dead­line is approach­ing very soon, your prompt response would be great­ly appre­ci­at­ed to ensure Region 3’s time­ly contribution.
